Sussex Medical Services has become one of the market leading Private Ambulance organisations, working with NHS and private hospitals as well as providing regular private ambulance services.
Sussex Medical Services is an organisation where the patient is always put first and the quality of care is of the highest of standards for both NHS and private sectors.
The company started out some 15 years ago offering medical event cover mainly specialising in medical support at equestrian events before branching out into patient transport for both private and NHS customers.
In 2009 there was a restructure of the company along with new owners who have grown the organisation and introduced new services such as, medical repatriation work in the UK and abroad, organ transportation and film & TV location cover, to complement the already successful patient transport services and medical event cover aspects of the company.
Over this period of time Sussex Medical Services have built a team of experienced, skilled, respectful and caring people who all enjoy their job, helping others. Their medical knowledge and caring nature mean a reliable and high quality of care can be expected at all times.
This team conduct patient transfers, repatriations and event medical cover using a variety of vehicles in our well maintained fleet that includes non-emergency patient transport vehicles, high dependency vehicles, bariatric vehicles, rapid response cars and 4x4 ambulances. All vehicles and equipment are regularly serviced and updated.
Sussex Medical Services have been registered with the CQC (Care Quality Commission) since registration of private ambulance companies was initiated by the government in April 2011.
In 2010 Sussex Medical Services' quality management system was accredited by a UKAS registered organisation to conform to the ISO9001:2008 standard. This internationally recognised accreditation helps provide assurances for any party looking for a well run organisation where the customer/patient is put first.
Sussex Medical Services retain their long standing membership of the British Ambulance Association, striving to provide market leading service within the independent sector.
